did they nerf the polish mission tree?
since when did they change the polish mission tree to not give PU CB over Bohemia and instead give only claims??

It gives the PU if you complete the mission "Varna Aftermath" in the correct way, by rivalling or scornfully insulting Bohemia whilst you are both independent Christian monarchies. The same applies for Hungary.

Note that the PU *does not* last forever. It expires after 25 years.

You also cannot get a "Restoration of Union" CB against a nation that is already a subject, of yourself or anyone else. So if Austria, for example, already forced Bohemia into being their own Junior Partner, then you cannot get the CB for it yourself regardless of how you completed the mission. Most missions have a fallback reward of permaclaims if you are somehow ineligible to get the Restoration of Union CB, but some older missions don't even get that.

The mission "Varna Aftermath" was changed in 1.36. If I see it correctly, you can now only get one of the restoration of union CBs from it. If you took the union over Lithuania, you get a restoration of union CB on Hungary and if you took the local noble, you can get a restoration of union CB on Bohemia. In both cases, the country must be a valid target for a union and not your ally.

But if I see it correctly, you can still get unions via the mission events The Polish-Bohemian Pact of Cooperation[eu4.paradoxwikis.com] and The Polish-Hungarian Pact of Cooperation[eu4.paradoxwikis.com]

didn't know what the events do, thank you.
paradox really should add an event insight thing on this like they do on other missions that give events.

just did the mission on a new run and apparently its Bohemia that gets the event, and i dont think they will ever choose the option to become a PU under Poland...

Yes, Bohemia gets the event. But the chances are not great. Per default, the AI has a 1/9 chance to become a junior partner. You can increase the chances by getting the first two diplomatic ideas, the first two influence ideas and 100 trust. But even then, the chance is less than 30%

thats a shame. so getting a PU on Bohemia and Hungary as Poland is not possible now, thats a bummer ally Bohemia is so much worse then the PU. just now i got dragged into a war with the entire HRE because of Bohemia somehow got too much AE.
