How to use special letter characters in EU4?
Hey everyone,

So I have an issue here. I see some provinces having characters like ś, ö, ø and so on. Ok, so how can I use them when renaming provinces? Alt + (letter code) does not work. Or maybe i'm doing it wrong? I would love some š, ė and ž letters.
I use laptop, someone said there is different methot of using Alt+code function than on PC.

Thanks.

I'm Lithuanian. And as you see there is Palenkė region. I'm curious abiout the ė letter, because a lot of provinces in Grand Duchy of Lithuania has other names, beside Ruthenian or Belarussian. And these names include ė and ž letters. For example Samogitia - Žemaitija, Volhynia - Volnuinė, Zhytomyr - Žytomyras, Rowne - Rivnė and so on.
Most special characters you can just ignore. The only province that doesn't seem to work that way I can recall is Åland. But even provinces with this sort of problem can be found by looking up a part without special characters so for Åland, search for "land".

How this is going to help me naming provinces with special characters?

Well OP wants to use it for renaming. Not finding them.

People sometimes miss the actual OP question :). Happens sometimes.

I want developers to share all possible character input table here or on in the new thread. I will terrorize discussion feed until I get my answers.
Using a keyboard that natively have ÅÄÖ makes it able to rename something with those letters at least.
