*The Fuerte del Moro is an exception to this.
They get the benefits of the Great Project which usually means serving you better until you absorb them, and you get to avoid one more trigger for an otherwise eternal event that you cannot benefit from.
And it looks REALLY nice to see all the Great Projects at max level too. Requires a fair bit of finagling in some areas (India and the Americas especially), but the completionist in me is very satisfied by the result.
Be careful though. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm not sure projects that are in the process of upgrading carry that over when integrating. When they finish upgrading they definitely do, but I think I've lost progress and had to pay for an upgrade again when integrating ones that haven't finished upgrading.
This is correct. It's happened to me, too, and I make sure to delay integration until after an upgrade completes when I go that route.
