About the ottoman power struggle & Decadence

something here is broken, the Ottomans are completly OP at the start of the game, but after 1600 the decadence System kicks in. So far so good, a nice challange would be great.

But now i realise, to complete the power struggle missions, i should have completed (!) 2 admin ideas, and 3 mil ideas? I mean: what? We are talking about 5 complete idea groups. u need admin tech 18 to unlock 5 idea groups. if u just pick 1 diplo idea, u need admin tech 22 to end the disastaer. I am sorry but: What?

decadence come with massiv tech nerfs, everything costs much more, so even if i would change my idea groups, I wont be able to complete the group. I am stuck now, just wondering if thats intended.

To be serious: Ottomans and especially the Eyelet System needs a nerf, but not like that. Who would ever pick 3 mil Ideas with the Ottomans, i mean comon, thats absurd.

Yeah I realised too, beyond 1650 decadence cant be reversed but only stopped if you are somehow in constant warfare, +3 stab, 0 rebelions, no autonomy... Can you prevent it at all? I have coalitions on every side I cant keep warrying forever

I could prevent it with high absolutismi think (not sure, i am not at home atm to check it), so i guess it is preventable, but I wanted to Test the disaster, well, bad idea :D

Yeah this mechanics ruined my save - Annexed Egypt by mistake so I was over my governing capacity which led to the disasters occurring in 1559. To reign in the Pashas I need a tier 7 government reform. I am on tier 5, with tier 6 to be unlocked around 1590's basically meaning i am ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as a country for 100 years or so. Fun :)

don't let decadence hit you. in the beginning of age of absolutism, start revoking estate privileges and seize land from estates to increase crownland. increase absolutism and have some minors around to declare war. do not give too much privilege to janissary estate either, they want more and more (yeah, historically too). you can stop and reverse decadence this way.

100% i agree with you i tried to challenge the janissaries which i employed only 3 in my army & for got to delete them, they spawned 900+k, i lost to them twice and now they own 50% land share of the country, & there is one event related to heir where you either lose 2 stab or lose 30 legitimacy & this event fired so many times that i had 0 legitimacy, thet need to re balance the power struggle
