Japan mission to conquer Korea
Hello,

I am doing a Japan run and I think in the past there was a mission to get claims on Korea. It seems a bit weird because there's one mission to hold 20 provinces. Do I just have to get my claims by spy network or am I missing something?

That mission is part of the Japanese Daimyo missions, which get removed when you actually form the nation of Japan if you have the Domination DLC enabled. Some elements of the new Japanese mission tree are still kind of reliant on you having completed certain of the old Daimyo missions first, with no way of going back if you hadn't already done the latter before forming Japan. Some other of the new Japan missions, on the other hand, directly overlap with the old Daimyo missions. It's... a bit of a mess. But hey, at least the Japanese Daimyo missions are no longer roadblocked by a mission that specifically requires you to form Japan and lose those missions.

I always forget some people never do their available missions before decisions that will change their country. Yeah, you should've clicked that completed before you actually became Japan and had everything change around on you.

Hey, now you know for next time.
To be fair, most formable nations that constitute the "logical" next step for a country (Castile into Spain, England into Great Britain, and so on) simply append new missions onto your existing mission tree, rather than replacing it with an entirely different one. Japan even did the same before Domination came out. It's just a weird inconsistency that's cropped up recently, and for all I know Japan isn't the only formable that Domination changed in this way (did the Prussian mission changes also affect Brandenburg?).

Yeah, I realized the same. I was like, many of these missions are the same as before. Lol
