I hope EU V will use real Artificial Intelligence

hopefully quite a few years away. Even if EU4 would get its final DLC and a year later we get EU5, what would EU5 could do to compete with EU4? I personally hope that there will be a big time gap between the two games so when eu5 finally arrives, it would be built with much better engine and better tech in general which can produce a game that can stand on it's two feet and wont feel as an inferior barebones eu4

I am waiting for EU 5, because the engine cant handle a dynamic trade system. The trade system in eu 4 is just rly dumb and stupid. Always ending the same places.

Vic 3 was bad enough, i will not waste any time reading about eu5

A bit similar to every P&P RPG Edition. Start anew so people that feel intimidated by the high price could have a point where they could start with "seemingly" lesser costs.
Also with CK III there maybe a plan for a grand campaign option from CK over EU to Victoria.

EU5 would be similar to EU4 how CK3 was to CK2 at release.
While the older version will have more content thanks to the DLCs the new version can try new mechanics like an alternative to monarch points or dev points in provinces and be more newcomer friendly thanks to less mechanics.
Not to mention a Victoria 3 tier map in EU setting would be worth the purchase alone for me.

Not an official one, they have said on more than one occasion that they won't make any more official converters because it is too much work to keep them up to date through the patch cycles.

Latest game updates by Paradox have not been very successful. Look at the playerbase of Victoria 3, Star Trek: Infinite, Cities: Skylines II, Crusader Kings III. These barely achieve the same number of players as previous versions do, and developing new costs a lot more then just adding some DLC with few updates.

Or their new games like Imperator: Rome, Lamplighters League or Empire of Sin, all have flopped terribly.

Every game publisher must make some profit or they go out of business. There is almost no reason PDX would spend any money on making EU5 or HoI5 as current versions are still profitable with cheap additions and have large playerbase. And people who have played these for many-many years will not easily accept changes new verions will likely have.

I mean, I do like new engine used in Vic3 and CK3. It looks better, but I would not buy the game again just because it has fancier map.

I guess it´s mostly a self made problem, as it´s not about buying the same game again, but about buying the same game again, but with less content, for more money.

So to be competitive with their own past games, they would need to add a lot more DLC again, and then it´s the question if people would like to buy the same overpriced package again with 15 20,-€ DLC plus extras, as only few people would spend like 300,-€ in one go on a game.

This is the downside of having so many DLCs, which of course earn money, but also add some content to the game. And when You release a new game, You perhaps don´t want to add all the features in the release version, which You could, but perhaps release them later as a DLC. Also the player base for these kind of games is limited, as they´re time intensive to get into - and to play, when they´re at the same time have a rather high price point, which is usually about people with a full time job, so they´re probably short on time - and most likely have no time for these games if they care for a girlfriend or family on top of it. So it´s more of a game for retired people, hence the complains about the small UI...
