Oh wow, that's an amusing series of possibilities opened up with that question. If someone like grotaclas hasn't already mined the info by the time I get back, give me a few hours tonight to test some stuff and I'll let you know just what's going on.

I have only used 20 so far... Cant see any major problems yet. They arent asking for payment on ruler death, there is no janissary related disaster visible (greyed out)

but you can get janissary related events. I got the -2,5% discipline or +10% land maintenance one.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: forming Rum gives you the pre-Domination experience almost exactly as before, including the pre-Domination Ottomans mission tree. So for Rum, virtually nothing has changed. No Janissaries estate. No Decadence. No new missions. However, they do get to make use of the Justify Invasion CB to force-create Eyalets through their spies as long as they retain the Ottoman Government (ie. remain Muslim after forming Rum).

Yesnt, but i can remember that for the old Ottomans theres always been the janissary disaster available at the start of the game, if you have rulers with less than 5/5/5 it fires. Cant remember if it used to happen for Rum too though.

Ah yeah, the old Janissary Coup disaster, but that's not new as such. None of the new janissary events, estate, or disaster is available to Rum. They get the pre-Domination experience as per always.

RCMidas,

Grotaclas announced his resignation from "these forums" a week or two ago after some idiot questioned his credibility and good faith. I've been watching but haven't seen a post from him since that announcement. What a loss to this forum if he (Grotaclas) doesn't return.
(Unfortunately, I can't recall the heading of the thread where he was attacked)

He'll be back, he's been online long enough to just need a cooling-off period. Good to keep himself mentally healthy. Hopefully he'll stay off Reddit for at least the same amount of time.

Yeah, I saw that one. A trollish player I won't name with no history on this forum and no appreciation for its posters treated grotaclas badly and he left. I was sorry to see it and hope it's temporary. Posters like the troll show up regularly, cause problems, and then generally vanish. They're a pain until they get bored and move on--or until they step over a line and get banned.
