Humble Bundle - worth it?
I realise it's very cheap overall but are the dlcs involved complete and/or including the ones worth having?

It is an insanely good deal. Anyone that even considers the game should grab it. It is the first time I've ever seen EU4 at a better price than 50% off, this is like 90% off.

How much do you have to pay to get all the dlc in the bundle? there is an option for 17 dollars and one for 25 dollars.

If you pay at least 17 dollars, you get the whole bundle. But you can decide to pay more if you want

super worth it if you dont have anything, worth it if you missing some but youll have to do add individual prices to figure that out, you do get individual keys so you can give the dupes away

Honestly it missing CoP is odd but not a big deal. If you were looking to get into EUIV it really is an excellent price...just make sure no money goes to Paradox. This bundle is an attempt by them to try and look good before they implement the subscription model they have planned.
Ehh, well, by not giving them money you are saying, bankrupt, cheers. By giving them money you say I like this, and then by not giving them money on the things you dont like you say I dont like this.

No, by not giving them money directly means I don't support their current business practices but I do enjoy EU4 very much. If they go bankrupt as a result then I guess they will have to learn from that. I've posted my review back in 2017 and I bought EU4 back in 2013 and paid for only the game changing DLCs, never bought anything in 2016 going forward due to these practices.

You speak with your wallet, sadly many people refuse to stop paying and promoting the deliberate slicing of content to be sold off in little chunks. I work in the game industry and I have seen it all.

As far as I'm concerned I got all this for $17 and gave 90% to a charity and 10% to Humble Bundle as a tip. Win win for me and Humble Bundle. I believe Paradox is doing this to get users up to date with the content so they can topple more DLC and it wont seem as overwhelming if they had to purchase $200+ in content prior to the new content. It's been talked about over and over that getting new players is difficult due to the high entry fee and nobody wants to feel like they're playing a cut-up game, they would prefer the DLC as well. It's also not about charity otherwise there wouldn't be a pre-calculated slider on checkout giving them most of the money.

Wait, there's somebody else here who gets it? I'm honestly surprised.

Personally, as a HumbleBundle / Humble Choice monthly subscriber, I've given them less than 10% because they already get a fixed income from me anyways. The rest went completely to charity. As far as the one expansion DLC is concerned, i'll wait for the spring / summer sale and see what happens. As much as I loved EU3 (I got it on Origin Access) and I enjoyed the free weekend of CK2, I don't understand the mindset of Paradox to charge so highly for its content. Thus, it got nothing from me. If it ever makes me feel guilty, i'll happily buy some of the extra DLCs at full price. I still get a massive discount and they'd have gotten more from me than they would have directly earned from the HumbleBundle sale.

As one of those originally on the fence, I would like to thank everyone in this thread for making the decision blatantly obvious. Clearly, you should buy the $17 if you know you'd enjoy the game. Better to get it now than to not have the option later. If you're really on the fence about it, 1 dollar isn't going to break the bank. Besides, even if you pay the $1 for the base game, try it for an hour, and immediately decide on the full bundle? A total of $18 is far better than $200 -- that is over 90% discount. The best I've ever seen personally on a Paradox sale is 75%, and you could even pass on the leftover 1 USD to someone else as a gift with your leftover keys.

Could someone post a good let's play video or something that does a decent job of showing what the fun of the game is?

The game has been out since 2013, so plenty of those on youtube. Search for Arumba or Quill18.

Arumba might not be the best choice, might as well suggest florryworry.

I second Quill18, watched some of his EU3 videos and thats what got me interested in the franchise. In short, its a Grand Strategy game - not for everyone, but I love the game.

What's wrong with arumba? Both him and quill18 have been great sources of let's plays, esp for euiv.
brian_va 23 ENE 2020 a las 2:38 p. m.
i watch him often, right now as it happens. aside from the MP game he did with that one guy a couple years back, i wouldn't really say his videos are tutorials or even a show of the fun they asked about, unless of course they are prone to watching someone stream themselves making an eu4 mod or making spreadsheets (i've seen both).
