Game crashes after reinstalling Windows
Today I have reinstalled Windows (10 x64).

Laptop HP 15-au023ur
Drivers were updated.

Game craches on the moment of "Loading graphics"(see: https://skr.sh/sIVxiw02cdS?a).
Earlier there was a message: "The graphics card detected does not have 512mB of video memory. EU4 require at leat 512MB of video memory to work properly".
Looks like my laptop can't use now its whole characteristics because yesterday there were no problems with running the game.

What kind of graphics card do you have? AFAIK the 512MB message is normal for some integrated GPUs which don't actually have that amount of dedicated memory, but can use RAM instead.
But it could also mean that your graphics drivers are not installed properly. After reinstalling windows, you might have to download the newest drivers for your GPU from the nvidia/amd/intel website to get the full 3D acceleration. Installing directx9 might also be needed.

A crash during loading graphics can also caused by broken, outdated or incompatible mods or a broken game installation. If your reinstall removed the "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV" folder, the launcher doesn't know which mods it should activate and will just activate all the mods which it can find.

Intel HD Graphics 520
Directx12
Graphics driver was updated properly

I tried to play the game without mods - there was the same error.

That GPU has no dedicated memory, so the error message might be normal. I think you won't get it again if you manage to start and exit eu4 properly once, because eu4 will then save the information that it already showed you the error message.

Eu4 doesn't support directx12. You need directx9. Maybe it was not automatically installed on your system and you have to download it from microsoft.

Did you use windows update or a manual download from the intel website?

Both the 512MB error message and the crash during "loading graphics" or only one of them?

Can you post the contents of the file "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/logs/error.log"?

You were right.
The problem was with drivers.
I had to use Intel Driver Support Assistant.

Thank you
