How can I get Mare Nostrum DLC features (primarily Condottieri) to Work in 1.15.1?

With the new update I was quite excited to see the new features. I then of course remembered, that with every EU4 update comes the age old agitating realization that all my save files are now unplayable in the new patch. I've reverted my game to 1.15.1 so as to continue a MP game with some friends, yet Mare Nostrum seems unable to work with the version, and is listed as "Other" rather than "Expansions" in the launch menu under DLC.

Is there any possible way in which I can load the features of Mare Nostrum into the 1.15.1 version? After several hours of searching the files for a way to do this and much disappointment, I've come to the last resort of posting this on the community hub with hope someone can help. Thanks for your time.

I doubt you will have any luck getting the DLC to run on a old patch that is missing the code to support it.

You'll need to get on the current version of the game for Mare Nostrum.

Do you know of any specific files I can bring over to run certain features of it? I mostly aim to have the Condottieri feature in, considering it was one of the main reasons of my purchase. I figure there must be a way. If not that would be quite disappointing. If only Paradox could actually find a way to have a patch or new DLC function with a save game.
