Force Religion on Vassals?
So when you force a religion on a vassal, they're liberty desire increases by 100%. Is there any way to lower this and if not, when should you use this function?

The more you blob them with land grants the happier they are.

So how do you go about giving them land grands. Currently I have forced Catholocism on Tripoli who is my vassal. Should I go about this by declaring war on Tunis and giving Tripoli the land after?

Only use it if you want to have the vassal a bit longer (than the average 10years), if he is able to convert it's provinces (especially early on most nations aren't and if their old province religion is now heretic and they have a positive modifier to heretics they will never convert it to beginn with) and if the liberty desire won't be a problem for you (e.g. if you have multiple vassals and they would rebel).

Also i think 100% is only for heathen. Heretics only get 50% or the other way around. You can't lower the total cost, but you can make sure to have enough prestige to use the option to lower the liberty desire afterwards.

Where do I use my prestige to lower liberty desire?

Vassal interractions - Cossacks feature though iirc

I don't have Crossacks and I can lower liberty desire for prestiege. It might be some other expansion, though.

If you're strong enough and don't actually need the vassal's help, you might be able to just wait for it to tick down, it will decrease over time. Someone offering them support at that point could easily lead to a rebellion, though I've never had it happen.

It looks like I found it and it doesn't look like it comes with the cossacks dlc unless that adds more options.
Cossacks does add more options. The prestige for liberty desire is a Common Sense feature I think, because I can also do that.

Eh, I never spend prestige for that. I've always found the liberty desire penalty goes away soon enough.

How long does it usually take?

Well they loose 1%liberty desire of that modificator every year. So a 100% will take 100years.

Oh, ok. That's not that bad then, my military is far larger than theirs and I should be able to control it.
The problem is not only your vassal if they have a liberty desire above 50 though. Your rivals might support their independance, and would join a war for it.

Also, where can I check my Aggressive Expansion penalty. I've heard a lot of people talk about it and I know why it increases, but I can't find it on the UI.

There is a map mode for it, then move your mouse over each country and get the number. There may also be a better way, but that is how I know to check.
