(New Player) How to increase tech levels? [SOLVED]

Reading up on it, I'm not finding any exact answers... How do I upgrade a tech level? I can't find this.

In the tech panel, when you have enought monarch points.

Okay, so I noticed when I was fighting, I was gaining alot of military points, this is it right? I am getting power by fighting and can use that to upgrade?

There are three types of monarch points: administrative, diplomatic, and military. When one of the types reaches the cutoff for the next tech level you can spend them to raise your tech.

The only thing needed to increase tech levels is Monarch Points.

There are 3 types of MPs: Admin, diplomacy, and military.

When you have enough points saved up, you will get a notice box saying you may increase a tech level. Sometimes you want to do it right away, but sometimes it is better to wait.

You get a specific amount each month depending on the stats of your ruler, advisors give you some points as well

At the top of the screen, there's a few subheaders, one is for admin power, one is for diplomatic power, and one is for military power. These accumulate over time depending on your rulers ability in the above categories (Find out by clicking your flag in the top right, going to the government tab and the stats will be there).

When you have enough points in one of the 3 categories to increase your tech, there will be a yellow tab at the top of the screen, or to check manually click your flag in the top right, go to research/tech and hover over the progress bar.

That is not military points. You gain Army Tradition and Prestige fighting battles, which has nothing to do with tech.

Question: I have 600+ points. I accidentally right-clicked the yellow tab. Now there doesn't seem to be any way to increase tech. Any hints?
