how to embrace the renaissance ?
So i see other countries embracing it but i can not for the life of me figure out how i do so s well. Im playing as castile by the way. this is only my second run through of eu4 and i never completed my first run through. So im trying on this one. but yeah its like the one thing aside from trade i dont understand. and it sucks because it seems like when other nations embrace it i get more and more harsh negative modifiers. so i would like to embrace it too. im just not sure how one goes about doing so. I didnt see it in the decisions tab. or mission tab. so im at a loss of how id do it

Institutions spread gradually based on a handful of factors; they're a little different for each one, but you can check on them by opening up the Institutions tab in your Technology screen. One common factor is whether the province in question is adjacent to a province that has the institution; if it's present in Toledo, it will spread to Madrid. You can take advantage of this by developing one province until it has the institution (or is much closer to getting it) and then waiting for it to spread around your nation.

You actually embrace the institution by going back to that tab on the Tech screen and paying a bunch of money for it. The more of your country already has it, the less you need to spend. So encourage the institution to spread, take out a loan or two, and pay to embrace it. Your tech costs will go back down, and you'll get a bonus from the institution itself.
