Crossing Gibraltar...Please help [SOLVED]

I'm a very very new player, currently playing for the first time on my brother's account. Thinking of buying it for myself.

Scenario:

Playing as Castile. Allied with Portugal.
Portugal starts war with Morocco. I offer a condottieri for some extra cash dolla.

I CAN'T CROSS THE STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR...And now Portugal is turning up the hate.

There are no ships in the SoG sea. Only my ships. What is going on??

Granada start with 1 side of the crossing and Portugal the other. do you have Military access through Granada's land

Mmm...May use that. EU4 + All DLC is quite expensive.
