Event leading to the Orangists taking control of the Netherlands.

Hi everyone !

At the moment I'm trying to get the Sinasapellsapalsl...dammit... well the orange juice achievement ! This is the second time I'm trying to do it but I don't know which event leads to the Orangists overtaking power. I read somewhere that usually the event occurs a few years after the creation of the Orange blob but I'm not sure if the event I just got is the right one and obviously which choice do I have to take to finally get those guys in control of the country.

The event I just got offers me 3 possibilites:
-Confederation with monarchism
-Confederation with republicans
-Centralized monarchy

I think I have to take the first one but I'm not sure and I don't want to screw my game (again), which is by the way going very well (France will soon be my vassal and I own almost all North America through my colony).

Confederation with monarchism should change your government to dutch republic, which is needed for this achievement

Yeah, Orangists are one of two factions withing the Dutch Republic government form.
If you have that there will be a power struggle between Statists and Orangists, and you'll need an Orangist ruler for the achievment then.

The thing is, I formed the Netherlands out of Frise, which is already a Republic since start, still in my first playthrough (played as Gueldre) I was a Republic (I certainly picked one of the 2 first options but I don't remember which one unfortunately..) and the achievement hadn't been granted despite having 4 cores in China.

i think you need the res publica dlc to enable orangist and statist faction with a dutch republic.
If you have it, you should have a power-bar between orangist and statist where normaly your king is mentioned

The Dutch Republic is a unique form of government, the Orabngist/Statist mechanics don't exist anywhere else. You also need the Wealth of Nations expansion for that.

I've got both activated :-/ (shown and ticked in the launcher) and they were already active at the start of the first playthrough.

Ok, the first choice enabled the sliding bar. So i guess, I chose the 2nd during my first playthrough. Anyway, thanks for the help guys. Appreciated !
