2. Your capital will stay in the new world if u dev/gain land in the old world. (Unless u move it back via event/manually).
3. Colonial nations will not form. But you *must* place your capital in the new world (i.e not bermuda etc, as i believe that is old world still,may be wrong though).
4. The mainland of north/south america is the "new world".
5. Moving your capitak back ti the old world will turn all your new world land into colonial nations.
Pretty sure thats right.
From Ireland your easiest route would probably be northern path through Greenland (not part of colonial region so does not count) into Colonial Canada. Or you could conquer Iceland to shorten the path.
Any Colonial Region counts, not only the mainland of Americas but all the Carribean islands work too. Even Colonial Australia can be used to escape into New World.
