MY Game Keeps Crashing

Whenever the date is Sept 1st 1545 it just crashes, first I thought it was because there was like 7-10 truces ending at the same time but when I reload the game as another nation it crashes just the same.

Is there like an event that could be causing this crash? Can I disable it somehow?

Edit: Ok scratch that, this happens every first day of the month forget everything i said this is worse than i thought

What do i do now?

Same date crashes are relatively rare at the moment. I might be able to help you, but I would like to know a few things:

* Exactly which game version are you playing?
* Do you use any mods?
* What checksum is displayed in the main menu? (the one in the launcher doesn't count)
* Do you play with the random new world?
* Which OS do you use?
* Are you playing ironman and do you still want to be able to get achievements?
* How long before the crash is your save game?
* Can you upload your savegame somewhere, so that I can have a look at it?
* Are there any countries on the map for whom you can't open the diplomacy interface and who's units have a rebel flag and if you look at one of their provinces, their mil tech is shown as 0?

First of all mate i'm so grateful that you took your time out of your day to reply. Even if nothing comes out of this... thank you

* Not ironman and i don't care about achievements rn
* just the day before crash happens (also i changed the date to the 2nd of september thinking that it might be caused by something happening specifically on that date but then it crashed on the first day of the next month)

Is there a specific reason that you play on that version? I didn't check your save, but crashes on the first of the month in 1.32.0 are almost always caused by a monument which gives yearly authority to inti countries(usually Tiwanaku in Tiahuanaco (2831) ). That causes the game to crash on the next month tick after the monument was upgraded to tier 1. Changing your version to 1.32.2 fixes this and many other bugs(if you start a new save, I would recommend the current version, but for an 1.32 save, you should stick to one of the 1.32). Alternatively you can use console commands to tag to the country in question and abort the upgrade if you have an earlier save or give the province to a colonizer/CN which can't use the monument

By reading all forum and reddit posts about crashes and loading the crashing saves in linux or macOS where you get a better stacktrace in the exception.txt and then looking in the save for stuff which could be related to the whatever the exception.txt mentions.

Hi! im new at this game, installed it and then searched several mods that i liked at first view, and downloaded it all. Then i tried to launch the game but it crashes, it reachs even the loading screen and i can hear game music, but then closes.

Could it be a problem with mods downloaded order or something like that?

Some of these mods showed that are not made 4 my version (up to date), i put them off and eliminate from pack to play, but game still crashes.

I d like to know if there is a guide that shows how to apply mods or something.

I use W10

I dont care about achievements if its is part of the problem.

my game is now crashing too
I booted it up 1 hour ago, closed it came back and now it wont even let me get to the menu
I then restarted by pc and it worked I am pretty sure either eu4 or pc is a lazy layabout pos and are both in a love hate relationship

Do you have the problem that you played a campaign for some time and now it always crashes on the same date?

Which mods did you install? Having more than one game-changing mod often causes problems unless all game changing mods are explicitly made compatible with all others(the expanded mod family used to do this, but they had a falling out and now they don't guarantee compatibility anymore). And outdated mods often cause problems as well if they are not made for the current major version(the current version is 1.34.5, so mods which are for another 1.34.x version usually work, but mods for 1.33 or older don't work properly).

Some small mods are written in a way that makes them compatible with almost all mods and many game versions, but it is not easy to tell if a mods is that kind of mod. On the other hand some small mods are badly written or change a part of the game which can't be modded in a compatible way and they break many other mods, but you can't know this unless you have some experience with actually writing eu4 mods.

Been totatlly unable to began a game xd, unfortunately, am staying away from home for a week, so wont be able to fix this problem now, but when i come back ill try to check if i can do it by myself with these advices, and if not, ill ask you as you look the wise of EUIV :)

If the game doesn't start, then try to disable all mods. If you are new to the game, it is probably best if you start without game changing mods. You can use graphical, gui or music mods if you like. Music mods are usually compatible with each other and with all other mods. gui mods might be compatible with other gui mods if they change different things and they are compatible with music or graphics mods. font mods are usually incompatible with all gui mods(there are some exceptions, but a font mod which doesn't change the gui files often causes misaligned text). mods which change how the map look like are compatible with most other mods, but not with other map mods.
