Return core province with reconquest CB take diplomatic power at early game. Is it a bug?
I noticed the situation(Reconquest war before 15th century) after some version (maybe 1.30). But it works fine at latter game(after 1500). Any idea?:steamhappy:

were you taking a tags final province / capital ?

I had this bug happen only a few times to me, but when it did, it was when I was declaring reconquest for 1 of my vassals on an OPM, no matter what I did, it always cost me DIP, did you check if AE is increased or working as intended ?

Whose reconquest CB were you using? Returning cores to a different nation than the CB holder or their overlord has always been "not part of the war goal" and caused the normal AE and unjustified demands diplo cost.

Not true at all lol

You can return cores to ANY nation with that cb...

It used to be different i think - i vaguely remember it was when i switched to an older version. But for like 1,2 if not 3 years its changed.

If you give nations their core provinces via the "Return Cores" tab of the peace deal, then it costs no diplo power regardless of who you're returning the cores to. If, on the other hand, you use the "Cede Provinces" tab, it will cost diplo points if you give a province to anybody other than the nation whose CB you used to declare the war, even if they have a core on that province. "Cede Provinces" also typically costs more warscore than "Return Cores" for the exact same provinces in a Reconquest war, except in the sole case of the specific province you set as the wargoal upon declaring the war... sometimes.
