The Freest Man in the World Achievement?
" No fully colonized province in the world produces slaves"

What exactly does this mean? Do i have to take over the new world or do i have to go to africa and conquer all the provinces that have slavery and make it so there is no slavery? Pretty sure by default the New world has no slavery.

If it is go to africa then why does it say "Fully colonized"? Like one is suppose to colonize stuff first?

It sounds like it's saying it only counts fully colonized provinces- so e.g. a half-completed colony that rolled slaves as a trade good might not count against you (again, assumptionso on my part).

However, there are plenty of slave-producing provinces in Africa already, so you'd have to get their trade goods to flip to something else.

The key to this achievement is found on the Pirate Republic page of the wiki:

Pirate republic can enact tier 5 reform War Against the World. This gives the country a casus belli against all other countries and an ability to demand provinces at 0 diplomatic cost.

It also disallows slaves. When a country passes this reform, all its provinces producing slaves are immediately set to produce “unknown”. This will also remove any Trade Stations in the province if present, as well as the province modifier “Slave Entrepot”. A new trade good will be randomly reassigned at the beginning of the next month based on the new weights for that province.

Become the Pirate Republic of your choice and then conquer every slave-producing province in the world to wipe slavery out.

You are referring to the wiki description, right? I used the wording "Fully colonized" to clarify the trade good of unfinished colonies doesn't matter for the achievement. Most uncolonized provinces in Africa can spawn slaves as their trade good

How to change the goods produced in a province from slaves to something else?

Conquer it. If it doesn't change when you've already got the 5th tier reform passed, then you'll need to head down into the Age of Revolutions and ban slavery manually via the decision. Though this is also one you can only do once, so make sure you have conquered them all before doing so, otherwise you'll need to swap out of the 5th tier reform and back into it.

This'll be one of the more painful ones to do methinks.

The war against the world reform banns slavery in your country and all slave producing provinces which you have or newly acquire get a new trade good automatically. The only exception which I know is if you enact the reform while you have an event open which changes the trade good of a province to slaves. To change the trade good of such a province, you either have to get rid of it and conquer it again or change in and out of the reform
