Question about Ironman Mode saves

Just a quick question about those saves : can you only have one at a time - I mean, across all runs ? I played with Connacht for quite a time, then tried another country (still in Ironman) and now I can't find any way to load up my Irish save, only that new country's one.

I know you're supposed to have only one file in Ironman mode, without save or load possibilities, but I though that it was one per run, not that starting anew would destroy all my work in Ireland XD

You can have as many as you want. You can load them from the saved games list in the single player menu

You can have multiple ironman campaigns running at the same time. Your Irish save may have been corrupted somehow, or perhaps the game patched in between your last load and your current attempt.

Found it, thanks. As with many things in this game, I find it not very begginer-friendly in terms of ergonomy and visibility, but I'm probably just dumb :D

EU4 is a complex game with many moving parts. Don't be so hard on yourself!

The one caveat is that you need to give each save a different name, if you give the same name then your previous game will be overwritten.

Also, don't forget there are two sets of saves - cloud and local.
