Support Heir on Poland keeps auto Resetting

Hi Folks,
I am playing Sweden and have selected the Support Heir option on Poland.

What I find odd is that the Support Heir progress keeps resetting every so often which requires me to select the Support Heir again.

Whenever the Reset happens, all progress is gone and goes back to 0. This reset to 0 progress happens to other AI nations as well.

Is this normal?
Why does it auto reset?
Or is this a Bug?

So just to check- has Poland's current ruler died and been succeeded? Every time the old ruler dies the whole Support Heir process starts over from the beginning. It could be they've just had a string of old and/or short-lived rulers.

Yeah, that's annoying. I've always been of the opinion that your "support heir" diplomat should remain in place when the old ruler dies. But they don't, and you have to keep an eye on them as a result.

Not just the ruler, but also if Poland's currently selected heir dies (it seems like more often than not the heirs being voted on are older than the current ruler) all candidates for heir are reset. Not just their progress, but their monarch point stats as well.

You were right ! I just did not notice the death of the king... as the rest said, would have been great if there's an alert in game to tell us.

It seems completely random to me. It kicks out the diplomat even when the king hasn't died. Don't know about the primary heir, but my heirs haven't been reset by it. They still have their stats and current vote points, it's just the diplomat that gets kicked out.
