I may have messed up getting Anglican to fire. I moved my capital to Den Haag before the event had fired. I've now moved it back to London but I was wondering if anyone knows if that's dashed my chances of having Anglican spawn. Thanks in advance.

If your capital is back in britain and your primary culture is still in the british culture group and your religion is in the christian group and the event has not happened to another country yet(e.g. scotland), you can still get it. Make sure that you are not the defender of the faith, because that would prevent it

Honestly, Anglican is a pretty terrible religion. Not having it fire isn't a bad thing.

Actually wanted to ask you, Marquoz- what did you think of the changes to Anglicanism discussed in the recent dev diary? Still doesn't look as strong as Catholicism to me, but it does look like a less regrettable switch than it currently is.

It will be an improvement over the current system, definitely. But Catholicism is still the way to go if you're a major colonizer or conqueror--and England is very well positioned for both.

Even if it was reasonably strong it would still be a poor choice due to how long you have to wait for it to become available. Reformed isn't helped by the delay getting it and Anglican is even worse...

Good point, bri. The later a religion becomes available, the harder it is to convert a global blob to its tenets and the less time you have to take advantage of its features.

Anglican isn't great I know, but I'm going for a more of an RP playthrough this run.
