Best nation for a world conquest noob

I'm considering attempting my first WC but I've never played past 1700. I usually get the achievement I was aiming for and start a new run. I just want to 1821 while attempting a WC. Even if I fail, I should learn enough to make a successful run at some point in the future.

The nations I'm looking at are nations I usually never consider playing because of their strength.

France, Ottomans, England, Spain, Ming, Russia, Austria.

Now I realize these might not even be the best nations to attempt a WC because I've never even considered trying it.

Any suggestions?

oirat is by far the best and easiest nation to wc, playing a horde gives you infite mana points, witch is the main struggle for wc, being able blob ming early game gives you money and strenght that nobody else will ever have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ your raids

france / austria / castille and maybe poland as catholic europeans are by far the strongest,
as france you can eat the british isles, become hre emperor, then pu spain
same goes for austria early pu's over bohemia and hungary, later on plc and spain, free burgundian inheritance and you are already the emperor
castille allows you having free aragon + eventually naples pu's, and once portugal has both explo and expansion click the mission to pu them and make them make your futur colonies

timurids into mughals is also a very strong way to blob, by 1600 both india and indochina should be yours from there it's just a matter of time to kill ming by truce breaking to death then move to the west, russia, europe, otto, africa, culture assimilation and hight tolenrance of pagans basicly removes any rebels issues

lastlty there are ottomans, but i would never advise a "newbe" trying wc as the ottomans, simply cuz the newbe ottoman will always expand into 5 directions spending half of the time moving armies around the world and juggling truces with coalitions

Hmm, well Oirat does sound interesting. I've never played a horde though so maybe I should try that out somewhere else first to get the hang of them. It's kind of crazy that you get "infinite" mana points, what does that even mean.

when you conquer a provice as a horde you can "raze" it lowering it's dev and giving you the mana points out of the dev you delated, meaning less overextension, less admin to core things, a bit less rebels, and free mana points

oirtas have the best mission tree to actually wc ( warscore cost modifiers etc etc ) also when at war with ming all you have to do is delate few small ming stacks with your overpoweed horses then find the stack lead by ming emperor or his heir kill it and you insta control hal of ming, then just siege dawn beijing and you won the war

as a horde you can have lot of horses meaning more shock dmg then infantry and fighing in flat terrain gives you 20% more shock dmg, meaning you will wipe most of armies in flat terrain

as a horde you already have a cb vs anyone, and you dont spend diplo for " unjustiefied demands" as all you ask is " justified "

I am also going to do it and I think I will take Austria, it should be fun along the way, you have all the time something to deal with, you have HRE mechanics and this is why I will pick Austria, the second to last imperial reform is the most fun of the game. Just click the declare war button and watch the show

as they all say, oirat is by far the best for WC, and if you go Buddhist with missions a 1 faith and 1 culture is easy too

I would say Ottomans is the better choice: Hordes are most convenient if you already know what you are doing, since you get the mana to conquer faster and potentially do an very early world conquest. But if you are a new player with no intention on doing the World Conquest as fast as possible, an easy to play & strong nation like Ottomans is imo the better option.

I like Austria for WC. With the HRE reforms you can just feed your vassals so overextension isn't an issue. The vassals will also do your work for you so you won't have to micro every tile in siberia. Also good PU's in the mission tree, and you can pretty easily get Habsburgs on Spain/Portugal/etc to take their thrones.
