First World Conquest!
I am going to be trying my first world conquest since I am reaching 1000 hrs and I think it is time. My question is what would you suggest as the easiest/most fun nation to world conquest in this patch? I have all the DLC btw. Thanks in advance!

If you know how to play a horde, they are definitely the easiest and fastest. Otherwise I would say Timurids into Mughals. If you are experienced with the HRE you could also revoke the privileges(for extra power you can do it as Coptic/Orthodox ottomans).
In general I would recommend to think about what has held you back so far and then choose a country which reduces that bottleneck.

The thing that has held me back is getting board with a campaign and either giving up or just slowing down and not expanding enough to WC

In that case, my advice is to set a HARD limit on the amount of hours per week you put into this WC campaign, and DO NOT exceed it. If your cap is at the sweet spot between just low enough and not too high, you will be able to maintain interest in bursts of EU4 activity at a time and can finish the campaign - even if you fail in the WC, you will gain way more experience with the actual later eras and all those entail.

That is great advice thanks! I will try this!

Boredom is definitely your greatest foe. I recommend rolling back to the earliest version of the game you enjoy. Almost every major patch and expansion has added provinces. There are now almost twice as many as there were at launch. Fewer provinces means less tedium means faster and easier WC.

Also, don't get creative with your idea groups. The Big Three (Admin, Diplo, Influence) are the gold standard for world conquests for very good reasons. Take them first. Then add either Religious or Humanism (some players pick both, but I only take one of the pair). Expansion and Trade are good picks for slots five and six, but these slots are more flexible than the first four and you can swap in other groups if you have a good reason to do so.

After that, whatever. You won't get much benefit from your seventh and eighth idea groups. They arrive too late to really matter.

All the above advice is great, having just completed my own WC with Austria/HRE.

As for nations, Oirat, Austria, Mughals, Ottomans are all good options. Focusing on nations on the border of religious groups makes expanding early and often easy, as you can juggle Aggressive Expansion between multiple continents and religions.

Hordes move fast early, especially hordes bordering Ming. Any nations with Core Creation Cost Reduction as a part of their Ambitions/Traditions will be important, along with war score cost reduction.

The biggest hurdle was definitely finishing it. There was a point where it was obvious the game was one. It took a lot of discipline to ride the game through to the end and actually get the achievement.

people got it wrong, dont play easy factions, your better off play tictactoe, play medium or hard ones, and it makes a better game overall

Thanks for the comments everyone! I think I will be doing it with austria since I want the rest of the austrian achievements anyway and the vassal swarm is nice.

Remember NOT to issue the last centralisation reform (Renovatio Imperii) until you have completed all of the Austrian missions if you are going for that achievement. Forming a united HRE issues new missions in place of your earlier ones.

Good to know!

Austria is always a fun run--I'm sure you'll enjoy the early stages of your WC, though not the tedium of the end.

I recommend any HRE nation take Diplomatic as its first idea group. You'll get a lot of mileage out of it as Austria, and it's part of the Big Three. So Diplomatic--Admin--Influence--Religious or Humanism would be the route I recommend.

Good luck!

It also weakens you massively, as owning all the territory yourself ends up being less maximum force limit than having thirty small-to-medium vassals in Germany, not to mention the governing capacity issues that come with attempting to full state all that, and the fact that you now have to micromanage everything yourself instead of letting your little derp swarm carpet siege everything for you.

Very true--and you can get a lot more than 30 small to medium vassals. By keeping Italy in the HRE and by forcing new nations into the Empire, I had about 70 when I revoked in my 1.33 run.

True, though they did give the Unified HRE a nice little buff now. Lemme see now...

+3 Prestige/yr
-5% Tech cost
+10% Institution spread
+5% Tax
+10% Spy network construction
+1 Advisor
+1 Leader
+1 Diplomat
+3 Diplomatic Reputation
+1 Diplomatic Relation
+50 Land force limit
+50 Manpower increase
+50 Tax income/yr
-5% Construction cost
-5% Construction time
-2 Unrest
-25% State maintenance
-10% Coring cost
-10% Stability cost
+0.25 Legitimacy/yr
+1 Tolerance of true faith
+1% Missionary strength
-25% Mercenary cost

Plus an automatic core on every HRE province, every province owned by the HRE AND every province owned by the HRE's neighbours. The Reconquest possibilities if you border the right nations (Russia, France, Spain, Ottomans etc) are just obscene.
