Royal Marriage?
How exactly does this work?
My King Afonso (Portugal) has now come of age. My army leader died just as I had my first rebel uprising in Oporto. I placed the King as the new army leader then crushed the rebellion.
So im assuming he is of marriageable age.
Early in the game I got a marriage proposal from Castile, I excepted.
Was this for the King?
I can see there is a marriage agreement between us but no details of a Queen?

Royal marriages is a marriage between some member if the royal family of yours, it won't necessarily be your king.

Each marriage you agree to have a chance to give you a queen, and a queen can be randomly generated or given through events as well.

Keep in mind kings and heirs made into generals have double the chance of death as a non-general king/heir, and the chance is even higher when drilling(DLC) or fighting.

Many thanks.
Can I except multiple marriage proposals?
Edit; It seems I now have a Queen Consort & an Heir :)

Yes, you can (in theory) have as many RMs as there are possible marriage partners.
However, a RM counts as a Diplomatic Relation (like alliances/vassals/guarantees/...) and every relation over your relation limit costs you 1 Diplo point per month. (This counts countries, not single agreements, so if you have an alliance and RM and Military Access with a country it still counts as one relation)

Keep in mind that Christians can only form RMs with other Christians (regardless of denomination (Catholic/Protestant/Reformed/Anglican/Orthodox/Coptic)) whereas other religions can form RMs with any non-Christian religion.

yeah. Each royal marriage counts as a diplomatic relation though, so don't go too crazy on it.

(Diplomatic relations are just 1 per nation, no matter how many DR actions you've used on them. So it's fine to Royal Marry your allies or vassals, since they're already taking up a relation slot, might as well make it stronger or you've got a slot to burn and are trying to get a PU).
