How come the ai gets more army tradition regardless if they lose or win?

The loser in equal battles always get a more tradition. But by winning you live to have more battles so it's ok

But I lost and he still got way more, even though I had much less troops.

they had 2x the troops in the battle and got 2x the mil tradition when when split between the 3 countrys in the battle. seems fair

I recall a discussion a while back on how much the AI cheats. They do cheat a little bit, and getting more army tradition is one of the examples.
