Synthetic Dawn
So I don't begrudge Paradox updating their games. Far from it, I think it's amazing that they put that much work into a game they already released, specifically the freebie stuff. I don't even mind having to restart this leg of my mega campaign cause the new version is invalid. Whatever, it's worth it. However within the first month or two of starting the game, I now get the Synthetic Dawn event. Easter Egg. Once again, Cool. Is there a way I can disable it however? Maybe some people would like robot armies in their historical based games, but I am not one of them. Once again, don't mean to complain, it's a cool/funny easter egg that i'm sure was meant to not go off every time I play. Please let me know however how to disable this event from happening so I can get back to my mega-campaign. Thanks!

I assume you are doing this in ironman, cant you use console commands to integrate them, and then just release whatever nations were their? Or do they keep coming back?

I started a fun game with a Custom Nation, random development, random new world and random historical nations.

When the event happened I didn't realize it was new (as I never played with random nations before).

The Synthetics were completely annexed by the neighbouring AIs shortly after they appeared, giving a triggered modifier "Synthetic remnants" (or something like that) for -25% tech cost.

They still have cores. I will try to release and vassalize them.

Unlike Jan Mayen that's designed to be fun first, and strong second...

Synthetic Dawn is specifically designed to be overpowered.

First off I was not aware that it was even available without spawning them with the console command but it is interesting that it happens with some sort of custom game. I wonder if it’s purely due to mods like CKII converter being active or what or will also happen in a regular game where you use a custom nation setup. Would be cool if it was something that happens with random new world set to active and they are randomly placed in the New World.

When I was testing them out I thought it was pretty neat that they actually have graphics of robots with futuristic swords, I thought that was a neat touch. But they don’t actually seem all that powerful in my opinion. They have a massive damage received penalty on them in their traditions. They’re like even more of a meme than Jan Mayen it would seem. Do they even have the massive discipline Jan Mayen get from the Invasion modifier?

As I said above, I got them in a Random Game:
- Random New World
- Historical Random Nations (so the existing nations but randomized starting positions)
- Random Development
- Random Lucky Nations

- Myself as a Custom Nation HRE OPM.

The Synthetics appeared in Southern France.

Alright good to know ahead of starting a custom setup game. That said they don't look so tough.
