just a guess but the restoration of the ilkhanat mission sounds like it does the trick

Just tested this stuff out since I’m doing a Crimea > Golden Horde > Mongol Empire campaign currently and unfortunately they don’t get a Liberty Desire bonus like the mission that Mughals have when they release Deccan as a vassal. Would have been much better had they been given that same -100% Liberty Desire bonus you get when you release Deccan as a vassal playing as the Mughals.

This just tells me that I absolutely need to annex my three Russian vassals (Tver, Ryazan, and Perm) I’ve been feeding Muscovite clay to before I click that mission to complete it. It also means I need to make sure to have the necessary amount of states available to make all of Persia into states that way I have full cores on all of that valuable land Ilkhanate gets so that I can instantly annex them for no extra dip points after no longer having them as a march.
