Too Many Territories

I recently started a Timurids campaign, and they added this little infobox that tells you abit about the countrys history till the point you start. and for the Timurids i goes something like:
"The Timurid empire once stretched from Anatolia to Delhi".


I think to myself thats a good goal to set. So i start out with the conquest of the middle east, before taking over the horn of africa, all while im working my way in to central india.
And thats all fine and dandy, my econemy is going well, my manpower is high, but my coruption just keeps on growing.
Atm. the year is around 1600, and i get + 0.6 corruption a year..

And all im thinking hod did the Old Timurids manege all this territorie. when i 200 years later cant even manage half..

I Ended up doing as suggested here in the forum, and moved my capital to Constantinople, in Europe. That made me able to make most of my territories in india into trade companies. wich gave a couple of extra mechernts, and made me lose a lot of stupid "Too many terrirories"

Ehm it's not a bug, it's a part of new changes of 1.26

Invest more in state capacity.

The corruption is based on having more territories than state limit.

I have Admin ideas that gives me +5 states, and i have passed the goverment reform that also gives me +5 states, and i still gain 0.6 corruption a year, its only 1600 i use like 45 gold a month just to root out the corruption from having "Too many terrirories"

I only want to see how much i can expand in the 400 years the game have given me, but now, this is more or less impossible, because paradox have now set an stupid artificial limet for that.

Well good news for you, corruption from that I believe is capped at .8, so just become big enough you can pay that off 24/7 and there you go. May not be fun and a waste of money, but its how I can deal with it.

ahhh thank god there is a cap to this nonsence.. But still the amount of money to deal with this is gonna be insane..

I know, especially if you are trying to core alot of land, then I don't think you can stop it from raising. However, Muslim countries have the event with the Ulema that can lower corruption by 2 for only like 10/15 loyalty to the Ulema and somethin else, and you got the Jains who can lower it by 2. So I would say Mughals are in a good position to deal with it, still a pain though.

True, and every 5 years i can lower corruption with 2 if i have more than 75 legalisim, but should all this extra micro management really be necessary?

How can you be at 0.6? You arent even that big yet

Anyways, easy solution: Switch Capital to Quahirah in Egypt and make whole India a Trade Company.

They dont count towards territory limit, problem solved.

Or release the bad northern lands as a vassal until you can get your tech up.

Since you started removing Ottos i would rather suggest to move it to Europe tho, since then you could also make Africa Trade Company
