EU4 most OP nation
Well we all know the ottomans are no longer the most OP nation after getting nerfed into the ground(7/10 games I play have seen the ottomans fight a major war within 10 years and either implode or survive but battered) so what's the most OP nation as of now

For the A.I the ottoman empire is the strongest nation in the game and the hardest to deal with for other A.I nations.

In the hands of a player the Ottoman Empire can be made very very powerful but Russia definitely in the hands of a player is the strongest nation in the game.

Russia generally destroys the Ottoman Empire in the hands of a player and China often struggles to do anything because the A.I locks up in the mandate of Heaven and never expands.

Ottomans is way stonger tha Russia in the hands of a player , i would say someone would have to be a much better player than me to even dream of beating me if i were ottomans. Russia wouldnt scare me in the slightest.

Yall should define "most op/strongest nation" first.

Ottomans has got nerfed a bit, but they still rip into the HRE easily in most of my games. What are we defining as OP? Because I'd say late game France and Prussia are on par due to God-troops cutting down stacks on 2:1 fights.

Whenever I see a big Brandeburg or Prussia with no strong enemies, I just imagine all the players being "Hurrr durr, I can take them!" because they have a huge army - only to be sliced through like butter.

In the player's hands Manchu is meant to be the most OP nation - fastest world conquests :-)

imo a nation that doesn't have aton of nations that can kill them and has land to expand into that doesn't req a big war and can get allys/vassals easy

I asked since Ottomany CAN still be the most op one due to

Good national ideas
Good room for expansion
Excellent income
Excellent Government

They got slightly nerfed but who cares, they are still op.

Ming got the problem of a rather bad religion (you need lots and lots of Harmony and Religious ideas are useless for them), on the other hand get spammed down with points and start with most Dev.

Prussia/Brandenburg has the problem of bad start, you could form it via Bohemia or even Poland too tho. Even if you do this you still have less room for expansion than Ottos tho and WAY less income.

Russia is worse than Ottos in every way anyway so they are off the bat

Where did this idea come from that the Ottomans are bad now?

they are definetly a bit weaker but they are still the strongest nation in the game along with ming and the mughals. I guess they must have been hugely OP before :) . Basically it just takes a bit longer to claim lands ( or trigger the missions now) and steal them rather than doing it instantly at the start. Thye still super rich with a large amazing army and lots of places to expand with AE being no concern. Having the lovely Mamluk land to steal will always make the ottomans great.

Saying countries like Prussia are the strongest reminds me of people who say builds in RPG's that are great at max level but not very good while your actually playing the game :) .

Thats why i said "define".

Also looking at how the AI performs would be a possible definition - as it is mostly good with those that are overall good/decent.

Poland suffers from different problems right at the start for example - but its ideas are close to as good as Prussias and the dev is quite good.

Yea, the reason why Prussia has such powerful ideas is because they start off poor and weak and the Bohemians and Poles are breathing down their neck throughout the game.
