Are Kawas good

So I started a match as ethiopia and I'm wonder are normal troops or kawas better?? because a kawa regiment only has 100 troops instead of 1000 and they are 25% more expensive but they take 25% less and deal 25% more shock damage

They don't only have 100 troops, they just start out at 100 and slowly reinforce to 1k over time, much like Manchu Banners. Cawa units are straight-up better, you're just limited in how many of them you can have at any given time.
