I don't want my country name to be "The Caliphate"?

So i decided to Unify Islam after i form Rum. But now it changes my country name and everything as The Caliphate. I don't want that, i can change my goverment type to "Ottoman" afterwards but my country name still remains the same. Is there any way to get the modifiers of Unifiying Islam and not changing your country name ffs?

You can create a mod with decision that will revert your country name to the original name, or remove the name change effect from the Unify Islam decision. However, this will also disable achievements when playing in the ironman mode.

Yeah I am already playing in Ironman and i don't want any mod.

Then I don't know about any possiblity to avoid renaming to The Caliphate. Maybe other players will have better knowledge.

You could just mod the localization for the Caliphate. That would give you whichever name you want without breaking achievements(but don't use any special characters like backslashes, because that might break the save file).

Your country would still be called "The Caliphate". AFAIK the only thing in the unmodded game which restores your name(if you are caliphate) is by switching out of a revolutionary government reform.

You know that the name is only cosmetic and has no gameplay impact, right?

Of course the name is only cosmetic but important thing is why i don't have an option of choosing it? What will be the name after the revolution btw? Revolutionary Caliphate?

Yes. I tested it. The name change "The Hanseatic League" gets undone by some country formations, but this is specifically coded in these formations and does not apply to other name changes

I don't know. But you could ask the same question about any country formation. Why does your name change to "Rum" if you form Rum. Maybe you still want it to be your previous country name.

and it is historically wrong too. they should fix it.
