WC+One Faith. How do i stop colonial nations from promoting settlement growth?

So i was going for my first WC. And since i actualy got it by 1750 (playing as austria) i thought perhaps i should go for the one faith achievment aswell. So im at 1819 and have 5 colonial-provinces left to convert. How do i tell my colonial nations to stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-about and let me convert? If this is not fixable i will never, ever, buy, or play a paradox game again in my life. I will post a screenshot below.

I just checked: Go to subjects screen, click on your colonies and use the "block settlement growth" interaction.

SuperThx, however i managed to F upp. as soon as i canceled promote settlement, they instantly started building s*it. cant cancel thier buildings either :DS
