Leviathan - EU4 Better or worse now?

Bugs aside did leviathan in your opinion improve the game with its new features or did just bloated it that only resulted in a less fun experience?

The features are nice, but unbalanced. They need more fine tuning. But monuments, development hoarding and playable natives are all great ideas, when implemented properly. But there can be no discussion about Leviathan without acknowledging the massive ♥♥♥♥-up this has been.

I mean that sums it up, if there wasn't bugs and incredibly OP imbalance (fricken 122 dev capital as an aboriginal lol. and I don't even have DLC) it wouldve been a good update.

In fact in terms of updates i hope they improve upon some of the older DLC or some of the bland newer ones.

Before the whole mess, the devs said they were going to slow down on new DLCs and work on the bugs. If they go back on that after all this, they might as well call it a day with further sales for Europa Universalis anything, and maybe even other Paradox products.

How can you judge whether the new mechanics improve the game or not when the whole thing is broken?

I have a feeling that the paid features of leviathan is going to be nerfed down to mediocrity. The QoL stuff in the free patch is nice though. Love the no naval attrition "feature".

A DLC that is the typical "I will buy it when I have some experience with the game". Besides, leave the subnomality of "Paradox is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ in programming blablaba", because they are going to fix it and you know it (a lot to ask for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ community, but hey ...)

On paper it sounds great, as for the implementation? Imma keep mining till they fix the bugs or ME LE (have a good) release.
