Is it possible to get rid of an estate?
I was playing a Mali MP game with a friend and the estates other than the Dhimmi were absolutely pissed at me because i attempted to maximize Absolutism (C & C was a mistake).
The only estate i could eliminate was the Nobility but thats because i became a Parliamentary Republic near the end to dodge a regency
I reduced he Ulema to 0 land and 0 influence yet they kept giving me negative modifiers
So is there a way to eliminate an estate other than becoming a Parliamentary Republic for the Nobles or going Revolutionary? (was tempted to go Revolutionary Mali but that would have gotten rid of the Dhimmi)

Except cossacks
so im always gunna have to deal with negative modifiers due to low loyalty if I decide to get my Absolutism up?
Unless I go Revolutionary, of course

Why exactly do your estates have low loyalty? You can get 100 absolutism and estates which are above 30 loyalty during almost the whole game(sometimes an event will drop the loyalty temporarily).

I gradually took away their privileges for Absolutism and seized land in an effort to try and delete them
the Ulema were especcially pissed throughout the game after i took their single privilege away because I just used the Dhimmi to ignore religion and I went Mysticism most of the time
Eventually the Merchants returned to normal loyalty and the Amirs were also a bit of an issue before I took the Parliament reform
I screwed up C&C because i underestimated the amount of rebels id get and Spain declared war on me in the middle of the rebel commotion

While you remove privileges and seize a lot of land, it is very useful to have a loyalty equilibrium above 50(higher is better, because then it rises faster). You can get that from the "Supremacy over the Crown" nobility privilege(+10% loyalty equilibrium for all estates) and the other +10% loyalty equilibrium privileges(especially monopolies because they don't increase influence). If you seize land whenever possible, and start removing privileges before the age of absolutism, you can start the age with a crown land share above 75% (for the extra max absolutism) and no privileges. Then you can trigger C&C and get 20 more max absolutism which allows you to enact some privileges again.
If you go heavy into mysticism it becomes more difficult and you would either have to live with a disloyal ulema, let them keep a monopoly or get another source of loyalty equilibrium(e.g religious ideas).
Do you really need the "Guaranteed Religious Minority Rights" privilege which reduces the loyalty of the clergy? "Guaranteed Dhimmi Autonomy" seems to be enough to ignore the religion of your provinces and it doesn't change the loyalty of the clergy and it gives +20 loyalty equilibrium to the Dhimmi.

This was my first time in a while doing Absolutism stuff so I didnt know the optimal way to go about the estates and absolutism
This was also my first time using the Dhimmi instead of just ignoring them.
I had monopolies but I then took them away after I got enough Mercantilism (around 50-70% i think)
I took away Supremacy when I started going for Absolutism, I ofc didnt just take away everything in one go but i gradually did it.

I think it is useful to first take away the privileges which don't give loyalty and take away the loyalty giving privileges last. But this is a trade-off, because you give up other useful bonuses first to avoid the penalties from a low estate loyalty.
IMHO the mercantilism is not important and the main use of monopolies is for their loyalty.

I'll chime in and agree with grotcias. His approach to estate privileges and absolutism is identical to mine. If you keep the end goal in mind all game (75%+ crownland by 1600 with minimal privileges at that time), you'll do fine. While I grant many privileges early on, I revoke them steadily over time. The only ones I tend to keep all game are the monarch point generators.
