name another non MMO that's supported ~8 years after launch ill wait

Starcraft 1, Dwarf Fortress, Civilization 1, Age of Empires, just off the top of my head.

There's a ton of ancient MUDs still being updated. And I don't know why you'd discount MMO's? There's 20+ year old MMO's which don't keep key features behind paywalls, and many that don't even have subscription fees.

MMOs are discounted because its obvious that they will be supported for as long as possible and none of those patches (besides DF) add new content beyond a map or two which you can make in like 30-40 min unless your doing something crazy
