League war not starting

The leagues formed 1560. However the catholic league is far superior to the protestans (Protestant league only contains destroyed ottomans and destroyed poland and some minor german states).
It is 1593 and nothing happend. All prince-electors are still catholic.
I dont know what to do. Help is appriciated.

Ah Ok but what does this mean: No known country is protestant or reformed? Do I have to force religion on everyone?

if the leagues form but dont start the war it will end in an automatic religious peace.
any christian faith can be Emperor or elector but will still have an effect on heratic princes in regard to IA.

This is wrong. Religious peace happens if the war is declared but doesn't end with the correct peace term(or the reform erbkaisertum is passed before the leagues happened)

If the war is not declared, the event The Diet of $CAPITAL_CITY$[eu4.paradoxwikis.com] will happen eventually and make catholic the official unchangable faith.

This known country also has to be an elector and in the protestant league and have a truce with you. If no such country exists, and 30 years have passed since the forming of the league and you are not at war, that event will happen eventually. But it has an MTTH of 5 years. So on average it takes 5 years of peace time while all conditions are fulfilled to get the event. But these 5 years don't have to be continuous, so small wars are not a problem, but if you are always at war, the event will never happen.

If you are Austria, you probably don't want the League War to start. You win by default if the war is never initiated and the Catholic faith remains the official religion of the HRE.

Protestan leader can declare war to emperor directly. Select casus belli as religious war.
