its like only 900 ducats... that is nothing past 1550.
there should be an option in game settings that says "realistic charter companies" and is automatically turned on. the option would make it so only certain nations that realistically were big colonisers can make charter companies. there would also be a semi-realistic option that would just make it so the non-colonial nations have to spend an absurd amount of cash to create a charter company. and then ofcourse you could turn the option off so it is like it currently is.
Also, is it just my game or are there a LOT of countries becoming Republics since the new update.

yeah make the free final idea for expansion ideas the ability to create charter companies... and you must have researched the diplomatic idea "chartered companies"

I will say it made Queen of Mercury notably easier as I was able to buy Thana instead of having to fight a war against 2/3 of India to take it. Not that I wouldn't have eventually been able to take it anyway but it did save me a couple of hours at least...
