Corrupted DLCs lol
After the last 1.29 update, i got the "corruped DLC" error on some of the DLCs i had activated (mainly the ones that bring chnages to the game mechanics) and the game couldn't read them at all, but when i reverted to the older version they started working again.
Guess i'll wait some weeks for the update to get fixed up for good before i'll update the game

It is usually wise to wait until new bugs get fixed.

But you are first to report "corrupted DLC" error. Are all your DLCs shown as broken? Which ones? If you disable them in Steam Library under EU4 DLC section, let Steam uninstall them and then enable again, waiting for re-download, does that help?

graphic ones and music ones are basically all ok, rn i do not recall every single one that didnt work as i already switches versions but i am pretty sure that the indian one had troubles because i had the government reform mechanics disabled and the age mechanics disabled. The very old ones were fine though.

Did they corrupted ones show error mesage somewhere or you just had no mechanics available in the game itself? Did you perhaps disable them in the new launcher?

Nope the launcher itself gave me a "!" warning sign saying that the DLC file was corrupted, and when i booted the game up those DLCs where indeed not working rip

Could you try the following and see if that resolves the issue:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- ""uninstall"" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox/EU4 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list/whitelist of your antivirus app
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.
