Did Paradox Ever Fix Japans Isolationist Events?

Back when i tried it the isolation events would bug out and stop if you ever formed japan or even became the emperor without forming it so i was wondering if i still had to remain a damiyo for it or not.

Also do independent damiyos still have them or no?

Eh so i can form japan and they will actually show up?

Ive tried it multiple times throughout the years and they havnt worked like that since they changed japan.

They worked fine for me in 2016, 2017, and 2018 when I did the various Japan achievements and in all of those campaigns I started as a daimyo and formed Japan. Note that they aren't Japan / Japanese culture specific but rather religion specific so if you change religion they aren't going to happen. There is also a minimum of 20 years between the end of one event chain and the start of the next. Finally, if you are chasing the achievement for going isolationist you have to take the most isolationist response in every single event, not just try to shade it so you went slightly isolationist overall in one of the individual chains.

There was a bug for a time with one of the incidents that prevented you from going full isolationist for a time, I believe that has since been fixed.

I have gotten this isolationsit acheivement recently with forming Japan

The Shinto Incidents were fixed (at least some patchnotes said so).

However, I got Sakoku Law even before those fixes. There are 8 Incidents and for the achievement you need only 6. (And only one or two were bugged)

There is only one Incident (Rising Shogunate Authority) which requires you to be a Daimyo, all other Incidents can happen to Daimyos, Shogun or united Japan alike.

It should work properly now. Even before, only "Profileration of Firearms" was completely broken, you were able to get achievement by finishing other incidents only.

may not be bugged, but its bad design (as usual) given the achievement, Urbanization, you need you hit +8 to isolationism to hit the achievement counter, but one of the events has two isolationism options, and only one of them allows you to hit that 8, the other makes you fail, the UI makes no distinction which is the "correct" one. You have to somehow know beforehand, be lucky, or play with the event source code on hand

I still don't understand why those are Shinto events as opposed to "Japanese government" events. Five of the eight have nothing to do with religion, and the remaining three still focus more on how the government operates than how the people themselves pray.
