how to deal with spy detection?

Normally around 1550 the game just sorta dies every time because it takes 2 years to get a claim on a province, how am I suppose to deal with this?

Sorry, I meant the -% that you get in general, trying to get my first claim down and its on like 0.9 a month, thats please kill me wasted time. Everyone around me has it and its just a pain.

They don't have espionage, but 9 nations big and small have between -9 to -30% spy detection. Can't find out any info on whats causing it which kinda sucks. Getting espionage is kinda a hassle when you just want to claim 1 provence to go to war though it does take over a year + to get it.

Before SN it took 2-4 yerars to fabricate a claim ...
Just keep resending or choose another target if they counter.

Swear to god they do everything to bog down the player till they are just stuck doing nothing.

I took control of Scandinavia and part of the German middle region, figured I'd go quantity for my 3rd idea for protestant war and to not get stomped by other power and hopefully expand pretty rapidly. That did not turn out well, i just waste a life time on one province and the game feel half over lol.
