Forming Spain Diplomatically....

Playing as Castile I have annexed Argon and Naples though a personal union with them. I would like to form Spain have met all the requirements except one. "*Castile is the Overlord in a Vassalage or union between Castile and Argon". I cannot be an overlord in a vassalage since I already annexed them...and I own all Argons territory so I don't really understand why I can't form Spain. I WAS in a union with Argon.

Can I no longer get this mission since I can never be an overlord in a Union or Vassalage anymore? Do I need to have Granada because thats how I would form Spain Militarily.

You could form Spain militarily.

Or you could try to release Aragon as your Vassal and then form Spain diplomatically, instantly inheriting their lands.

and why would you integrate Arragon and spend alot of point on it when you could do it for free through the focus?

just form it militarly if you fulfill the requirements.

Spain does not exist.
has an administrative technology of at least level 10.
is not a subject nation.
is not at war.
Is not a nomad nation.
A Muslim nation does not own a province in Iberia.

You have to form militarily now. Next time do not annex Aragon and form Spain diplomatically first. What this does is you annex them instantly and for free (diplo annex costs tons of diplomatic points). Good luck with your game!!!
