Cant return Core Edirne to Byzantium in peace deal
Does anyone know why its not working? Byzantium is my vassal, I control Edirne, Ottomans are not at war with anyone else, its literally next to Constantinople, so its not a distance issue. I've been able to return every other core, but its not showing up in the return cores list despite definitely being a Byzantine core. Its even the war goal this time!

I'd really rather not have to pay 75% more AE on this, as I have plenty of other land I want to grab in that area.

I would assume it is because Edirne is the Ottoman capital which ( i think ) disables the return core option on it.

Ah, of course. Thanks, that actually makes so much sense. Its been bugging me all game. Also, it seems that just putting it in the conquest list also gets the 75% AE discount, so it didnt really matter anyway.

as long as you have the correct CB for it, it doesn't matter where it is as long as the correct person is recieving it.

Return Core was really only useful if you didn't have province transfer since you could return cores to other nations you held directly (or if you want to give territory to nations who aren't involved with the war).

Which is probably why it isn't showing up. You most likely gave occupation of it to Byzantium already so it's not returning cores, it's giving a war-ally territory (but since they have a core on it, it's functionally the same under the reconquest CB).
