good point, the tile could be gold as is the crown thing on the graphic for the fort
I very much feel you. I discovered that you can set provinces as objectives for allies and subjects after 1500 hours (or maybe 1200 hours after buying that DLC). I felt so stupid ...
to be fair it doesn't matter much since they usually ignore it anyways depending on their mood
I mean on one hand, combining several maps into a "Tactical War Map" would make war a lot easier to fight for newer players and veterans alike, with easy reference material from several modes at your finger tips so you can spend more time fighting and less time map swapping. With the enemies, allies, access areas, occupations and sieges, blockades and condotiorri, along with everything else mentioned before hand. For new players who can't access this information due to lack of experience it would be a real boost.
On the other hand, I like the idea of it not being so easy to extract this information. I mean EUIV is a challenging game and this would take a lot of the challenge away from it. Especially in multiplayer where knowledge and tactics can make the difference between winning and losing a war, meaning if you learn how to use the features already in the game you can get an edge. Losing a reward like this would discourage almost any form of PvP due to the ease of countering. There are also a lot of existing maps which I wouldn't want to remove and adding another will cluster things more.
Overall I would say it is a nice idea, but I think with the features already in the game and the difference it would make to multiplayer which I primarily play, I would have to say I wouldn't support it. If it was toggled in the start screen for multiplayer to turn it off, and turned off by force for ironman? Maybe.
ever since the map modes haven't been able to cover the minimap the amount of map modes available doesn't really matter honestly. relying on an obtuse amount of map modes to get an edge in the game sounds kinda elitist, as does the suggestion that it should be forced out from the ironman mode. use it or not, it should be your choice.
