I do, however, like the idea of showing countries who allow military access so we can easily find those countries to cancel such access after the war ends.
no it's more in depth, involving occupations and such because the current diplomatic mapmode is lacking
As i said, there is a map mode that shows who you are at war with and I'll add that it also shows which provinces you or your enemy control during the war. The only thing you are wanting to add is what I agreed with you about.
the diplomatic mapmode does not show occupations.
Sigh......................... I'm not going to repeat myself.
Yeah, That's what you thought. But you 'thought' wrong. You just need to know where to look. That and to explain what exactly it is that you want better.
But you're not actually answering to his request.
Allies and enemies are not in shades on your screenshot. That's just the main political map mode.
Btw i don't think there's a map which can show occupency and your current war. Can be Easily done by a modder.
Indeed, the diplo one is lacking of informations : Independance Support, Access, and some Economic actions like subsidies. But it's to much informations to show on a single mapmode.
An Economic relations map mode would be thanked as well.
Umm, I absolutely DID respond to the OP with a fact. The OP stated:
I stated:
There IS a map that shows your allies and enemies. That map does NOT need to be on the same map that shows who you are at war with!
There IS also a map that shows which provinces are occupied. This is where, I believe the OP has the issue. They want the occupied provinces to show on the same map that shows who is at war with whom.
It's not necessary to overhaul the maps when everything is there already. That's IF you know where to look. The Diplomatic map shows which provinces are controlled because a province that controlled by another nation is, well, under control of the nation that controls it during the war.
What exactly would/should an Economics Map supposed to show? It's not like we trade explicitly with specific nations in this game. Not unless you're in a Trade League. We already have a Development Map. Which, btw, represents the economics of each province. The greater the development of said province the greater said provinces economy.
that misses my point entirely, because i literally said you have to switch map modes to see the occupations.
what is that supposed to mean
And I literally said:
"There is a map mode that shows who you are currently at war with. We don't need another one."
I also stated:
"As i said, there is a map mode that shows who you are at war with and I'll add that it also shows which provinces you or your enemy control during the war."
Essentially all you want is to have the game repeat the same information across multiple (meaning more than one) maps. That's unnecessary! It's OVERKILL.
I know, I know, it's too much work for you to switch maps because clicking that little button is soooooooo strenuous....
He means he doesnt want several things combined in one mapmode.
And i kinda agree. The diplomatic mapmode shows the occupations - the important stuff. If you want to know with which OPMs you are at war with in each war simply put the 2nd mapmode in the bottom right corner and switch midway.
Cuz you will have the problem that some people want this and that combined, others that and this. Which would result in dozens of new mapmodes that only a minority needs.
