If you are in a war, you will not be PU'ed or get the succession war.

every time you enter into a royal marriage you have a chance of getting a consort(if you have none) and a slightly smaller chance of getting an heir immediately. Otherwise just keep marraiges going and hope you get heir before your king dies. Hint: do not make king a general for training or combat since it rolls extra death chances.

How old is your king atm? If hes under 40 i wouldnt really worry about it.
Marry a few nations if possible, but as has been said, if u think your king may die just be in war as much as possible.

There is no point on wastig relation slot for royal marriages unless you want the alliance.
You can simply wait for the heir to spawn if your ruler is still young, if its old, go to war as often as you can: the ruler will die and you will get a local noble on the throne, probably with 20 legitimacy.

If you dont have a consort, entering a RM gives a fair chance of consort with an instant fair chance of heir. having a consort also increases chance to have heir from a few event pulses and game mechanics. Otherwise you correct.

Thanks for your replies, my heir was 36 and i got a heir event (weak claim, but still worked out) lost my heir again, but as infinity said i went to with england (ez war cause i allied france) and during the war i got a consort and the event happend again (as mystafi said) and thank god i know now not to always do RMs to get alliances (Psychotic Fury).
Peace out my dudes
