Or at least: when you tag switch, to be able to adopt your new tag's mission tree.
Really? I tried this once, but it didn't work. I'll have to give it another shot.
But that only works for formables. It would be great to be able to select mission trees from non-formable nations. For example: create a customized "Austria", and be able to use their mission tree, and get their TAG events. (assuming the original TAG doesn't exist in the game)
If I understand the "code" correctly this wouldn't be all that difficult to do as a self-mod by editing the mission file you want your custom nation to have access to. You should just have to add one line in the section where the nations the missions apply to are laid out. TAG=C00 (something like that, whatever the tag for the custom nation is).
For example, if you want to use the Russia missions and you have Third Rome then in the tr_Russian_missions file in the missions folder you edit the section near the top as follows:
potential_on_load = {
has_dlc = "Third Rome"
}
potential = {
OR = {
tag = MOS
tag = RUS
tag = C00
}
Thanks! I'll give this a try.
To OP: Sorry for kinda hijacking your thread...
Just remember that Steam may try to fix the file and that making the change will disable all achievements as it will change your checksum.
