Rarity of Seven Cities events?
I’ve been searching for the Seven Cities for decades—perhaps a century—with 2 armies (1 in North America and 1 in South America) and I still have not received a single event to begin a quest for any of the seven cities/fountain of youth. I’m approaching the end of possible exploration in the New World as most of North America and almost all of South America is now discovered, and I’m beginning to wonder if all the resources I’ve diverted to hunting for the Seven Cities have been an utter waste. What exactly are the chances of even beginning to search for one of these cities? Is it even probable that one who fully devotes themselves to hunting for them even hear about them once in the game?

The best I have been able to do is to get 3 in 1 game. I would say on average I see one of the events per game though. Events are localised, some can be only found in SA, some in canada, some all over, ect. Once you get the event to find one, you must stop all exploring in area's outside the event zone(list of event on wiki btw https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Seven_Cities_events ). Other thing to remember is once you have event fire to search for one of the seven, The game wont let you find another, till you find it or run out of explored area's in the new world.

You have a chance to get event every time you open up unexplored area in new world. Sadly, you cannot get event from ships exploring coastlines, so keep that in mind.

I prefer exploring SA first and finishing up in canada if Iam trying for multiple cities on a run.

There are really 7 cities and the fountain, so makes 8 to hunt for. 2 are regionlocked to the southern half of SA, 3 are regionlocked to Canada, and the other 3 are anywhere. The ones in the far north and far south are very hard to unlock if you explore the coastline with ships due to lack of provinces left to explore!

I discovered one of them (El Dorado I think) in my Spain game while exploring 100% of the Americas.

Most likely way is with a single explorer... It just takes time before the first event fires and then time before the second event. IF you use 2, then you shorten the time in half.
