https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Colonization#Treaty_of_Tordesillas
Each region is automatically assigned to the first catholic nation who froms Colinial Nation there.
It's fine, but I'm the first (and the only) country to own colonial nations in Colombia and Canada, should not the pope assign that region to me?
Actually, the Pope, if he granted me the property of those colonial regions, I had not noticed, but I saw it when I selected a province without colonizing.
However, the game has a pretty stupid bug, since I became Great Britain, and when trying to colonize the colonial regions that are supposed to belong to me, I am violating the treaty because that region is from Scotland and not from the UK ... but ... idiot Pope ... I was Scotland !!
I don't think that bug still exists. Just formed Netherlands from Holland and Colombia is claimed by the Netherlands and not Holland, so I guess they fixed it and now it updates!
