Will be looking to abolish for the achievement, currently in 1578.

Help appreciated. :)

The event "The Struggle for Royal Power" can fire after the year 1600. It has an MTH of 100 Months and has as prerequisite the event "The Pacta Conventa".

When the struggle event fires you can either resign and become an oligarchic republic or wage war on the nobility.

If you go against the nobles a huge number of rebels will spawn. Defeat them all and you get an event that changes you to despotic monarchy.

Note that you need to change to administrative for the cheevo.

So going republic is the only way to get that achievement?

No. You will get the achievement even if you change to desp. monarchy

Okay, so is there 3 options in total?

1. Keep sejm
2. Become Republic
3. Declare war on nobility

Well, there are more event decisions on the way for this achievement. Every important info is on eu4 wiki

Just follow the wiki page, I did this recently using that guide. Notice that there is luck involved where your ruler MUST have 0 or 1 in one of the category, before year 1600.

No, I meant administrative monarchy.

No, check the achievement requirement in the game interface. You need to upgrade to administrative monarchy. Which is as simple as spending 100ADM, but many people miss it since government forms are a bit of an obscure mechanic atm.

Yes you are right.
I've successfully changed to despotic Monarchy, no one King to Rule achievment yet though.

Do I need a male leader or do I have to change to another government type??

EDIT:
Just double checked the wiki, the last step is to change from despotic to Administrative Monarchy for achievement.
